Educated as a grafic designer Marlene actually started her career as a model working in Paris at 16, fitting for Hervé Leger and Céline, before doing the usual circuit of Cape Town, London and Tokyo. Next came Domain, one of Stockholm’s most talked about boutiques. She now debutes at Fashion Week by Berns under her own lable, Mayla. The transition from grafic design to fashion design came naturally because of her interest for style, shape and form.
